Mix CDs
As a big time music lover and nostalgia junkie, I love creating covers for my music playlists and collecting them here as “Mixed CDs.” Initially, this started as a way to share music with readers of my newsletter, Sunday Candy. However, curating playlists is both a personal and creative practice for me. It’s a way to play. And so, I’ve continued to design these covers regardless if I share them with others or not.
These covers also express my love for fusing analog and digital work. Many of these covers are designed from playing around with paper, paint, my printer, typing on my typewriter, and incorporating Polaroid or digital photos I’ve taken, then tossing whatever I’m using into Photoshop.
